Winter Storm Nemo Hits Bucks County

Nemo slammed into Bucks County Friday night, leaving behind several inches of snow. It started over the area around 6 p.m. and came down into late hours of the night.
The sore spot for some was the rain. The rain coming in first, Friday afternoon, left a layer of slippery ice that cause minor fender benders all over the county. Crews worked quickly to get down salt and clean the roadways for those who had places to go but it was hard to keep up.
When people woke up this morning, they found a winter wonderland that was the first real snowfall of the season. The Newtown and Warrington areas are reporting four to five of the white stuff, other places reporting only two to three inches.

The roads all over Bucks County are looking great, thanks to the road crews working throughout the night. On Saturday, the new problem is the wind. The wind is blowing at about 18 mph and gusts are up to 33 mph. This is going to diminish visibility and make driving difficult, as well as, blowing snow into large banks along roadways. All offices and business are reporting on Facebook that they are open with very few closings anywhere.

  1. The first thing that struck me was pictures 10,11 and 13...All that heat loss going on at the top of the roofs in these. I was thinking... the newer the home, the better job that was done insulating. Something near and dear to my heart since I seem to be the insulation specialist at work:-) My brother and I have both written about it. I have a recent post on my blog about it
